Transforming Angioplasty™

Finesse™ OTW is an ultra-low profile 0.014″ compatible injectable angioplasty balloon catheter that was designed to facilitate complex small vessel angioplasty in the distal calf and foot. Indicated for arterial angioplasty, the balloon is ideal for challenging peripheral arterial disease (PAD) cases such as limb salvage in patients with critical limb ischemia (CLI). It is the only injectable small vessel PTA catheter on the market.

Finesse™ features the patented Angioport™ that allows injections proximal to the angioplasty balloon with or without the guidewire in place. Finesse™ is a semi-compliant balloon cleared in 4 diameters, ranging from 2.5 to 4.0 mm with rated burst pressures up to 14 atm.

Peripheral Arterial Disease

Our injectable angioplasty balloon catheter allows for lengthy revascularization procedures to be completed with fewer diagnostic catheters and fewer catheter exchanges, which can shorten procedure times and reduce room time costs.

Medication injections through the catheter are also possible, such as a heparin flush infusion to bathe the downstream arteries during manipulations of the catheter and guidewire to traverse the lesions. Other therapeutics such as vasodilators and thrombolytics can also be injected or infused.

With the increasing complexity of limb salvage procedures, physicians are in need of methods to reduce unnecessary catheter exchanges. The Finesse’s ability to eliminate catheter exchanges, combined with the ability to inject distally provides several advantages for physicians and patients. These unique features may result in shorter procedure times, lower x-ray doses for patients and operators, and lower contrast doses for patients.

Finesse™ is FDA cleared for for Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty (PTA) in the peripheral vasculature, including popliteal, infra-popliteal and renal arteries, and for the treatment of obstructive lesions of native or synthetic arteriovenous dialysis fistulae.
